SHUVAM CHAKRABORTY

About me

I am a Senior Engineer at Qualcomm working with the wireless research and development team at Bridgewater, New Jersey, USA starting from January 2025.

I have been a PhD student at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at University at Albany, SUNY from August 2019 - January 2025 and a member of the Mobile Emerging Systems and Applications (MESA) Lab, where I worked with Dr. Dola Saha and Dr. Aveek Dutta. I was a recipient of UAlbany Presidential Fellowship, awarded by UAlbany Graduate School, in Fall 2019.

I completed my undergraduate in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from Jadavpur University, India where I worked with on problems related to unsupervised image segmentation. During my senior year, I was a visiting researcher in Wireless@VT during summer 2017, where I worked on clustering algorithms for low power IoT network under the guidance of Dr. Harpreet Dhillon.
